The Porsche 911
1963-1968
The 911 is and has always been rear wheel drive. In 1965 and 1966, the 911 was only available as a couple. It came with a 1991cc engine, top speed was close to 130mph. In 1966, they added the Targa. The Targa was removable and could be stored in the trunk. In 1967, Porsche added the 911 S. In 1968, the sunroof and the Sportomatic were added as options. The Sportomatic was close to a normal 4 speed, except with no clutch.
